Schedule:

Thursday, April 20th: Airport pickup, travel to house and get the bikes set up for each rider followed by dinner.

Friday, April 21st: Depart from the house when group is ready and unload at the riding area. Riding at Peach Valley

Saturday, April 22nd: Depart from the house when group is ready and unload at the riding area. Riding at Dry Creek area

Sunday, April 23rd: Depart from the house when group is ready and unload at the riding area. Riding the Sidewinder loop at Peach Valley.

Monday, April 24th: Airport drop-off following breakfast.

Weather:

Please hydrate, the morning will be cool and the temps will be warmer later in the day. Friday will be cold to start so be sure to dress accordingly. It’s possible that we’ll ride the day three route on day one since it’s going to be so cold.

GNARLY ROUTES BIKE INSURANCE

Included Basic Bike Insurance

Gnarly Routes includes “Normal Wear & Tear” coverage and that is included in the tour package price. This covers normal damage incurred on rides from responsible riders. Damage waived includes: scuffs, scratches, graphic wear and minor damage.

Limited Plan $200

This level offers limited bike insurance. The price is set to cover anything up to $1200 in damage at retail cost, for the duration of the entire tour. (includes broken radiators, smashed exhaust pipe, wheel damage, broken controls, clutch etc.. However, if the rider is deemed irresponsible by Gnarly Routes discretion to hold rider responsible to any cost accrued over $200.

Premium Plan $750

This level offers premium bike coverage. The price is set to cover any and all damage from normal riding and accidents up to $4500. This includes: water damage, broken parts, engine seizure, damaged exhaust, bent handlebars, and all controls. However, if the rider is deemed irresponsible by Gnarly Routes discretion to hold rider responsible to any cost accrued over $750.

Insurance Refusal

If you decline to purchase insurance, you are held responsible for any and all damaged parts (above normal wear and tear) at retail value. After the final ride of the tour concludes, you will be asked to do a “walk around” to review the condition of the bike, with a guide, and account for any notable damage.

Gnarly Routes does not condone improper or irresponsible riding. If we feel you’re abusing the tour bikes and/or are unsafe to yourself or others, you will be pulled from the bike immediately. Treat our bikes as you would treat your own

DAMAGE POLICY:

Gnarly Routes is committed to providing premium machines for all our clients as such your bike will be presented to you in sound mechanical condition with any aesthetic bumps and bruises documented. At the end of the ride we will document a post-ride evaluation of the machine.

What you are responsible for:

-Any crash-related damage.

-Broken and cracked components.

-Any damage related to a crash or improper use.

What you're not responsible for:

-Normal scrapes and scratches from laying the bike down, brush scraping bike plastics and/or hand-guards

-Internal mechanical damage not related to a crash.

-Regular wear and tear (tire, brake and drivetrain wear).

If you purchased our Damage Waiver, your max out of pocket is relative to the plans max you associated. If you decline insurance, you are responsible up to the full replacement value of the machine.


Things to be mindful of:

The trails that we will be riding have hidden rocks all along the edges. Be sure to be mindful of foot placement on the pegs and keep your toes in to limit chances of catching a rock with your boot. We will be at high altitudes so drink plenty of water and communicate with your guides if you need more rest time when we stop on the trail. Dinner is not part of the Gnarly Routes vacation package but we will all go as a group. We will provide breakfast each day and lunch out on the trail. You will receive a set of Moose Racing riding gear as part of the Gnarly Routes tour package. They are a big supporter of our program so we will ask you to all wear the gear on the same day for photos.

On this tour, you need to bring plenty of riding gear to get you through three days of riding.  If you have specific trail snacks that you like, we suggest bringing those but will have plenty of Kate's bars in the transport vehicle. Here's a short list though so you can make sure to bring everything.
