The second round of the National Hare and Hound series was hosted by the Lubbock Trail Riders and took place at the Glass Ranch near Kalgary, Texas.

Off the start Cole and Russell were second and third after the bomb run and Russell quickly made his way around Cole took move into second place. The first thirty mile loop was the wide open section and despite good starts both Cole and Russell moved back in positions as they came into gas one. Bobbitt came through the first loop in fifth and Kirkpatrick in ninth as they headed out on loop two that was forty miles in length. Bobbitt caught up to the leaders and even took the lead temporarily before getting passed by Wasson and Roberts to finish third at his first National Hare and Hound event. Kirkpatrick put his head down after loop one and worked his way up to fourth place prior to pulling into the E Gas at mile fifty continuing to battle to the finish to cross the line in fourth.
Bobbitt said, “That was a wild time start to finish, being full-pinned and constantly searching for the fastest lines with so much open terrain. Stoked to be able to get on the podium!”
Kirkpatrick said, “It’s always a blast when a national series comes to this area of Texas! My KTM 250 sx worked great all day and it’s unreal how fast these guys go in the open stuff!”
Russell and Cole will host their first tour of the year this coming weekend in Texas.
